During the investor’s ownership period, FREO signed over 90,000 sqm of new leases to different prime tenants (EDF, RTE, HSBC, Allianz). FREO also obtained green labels HQE & BREEAM and managed €5mm of works each year (€30mm), for example replacement of polluting air conditioning system by a certified green dry cooler system. Following a complex sale process in 2014, Coeur Defense was sold for an amount exceeding €1.3bn in 2014.
This ultra high quality, landmark office asset in the La Défense district of Paris was purchased in 2007. Coeur Défense is one of the largest office buildings in Europe and features 126 office floor plates, multiple restaurants, cafes, a 1,300 seat conference hall and a 40m-high entrance atrium. FREO provided a full asset management service for the owner from 2007 to 2014.
