FREO to bring 2,800 sq m to central Berlin office market

FREO Group, the trusted operating partner of global investors that provides unrivalled access to on-the-ground real estate experts in Europe, the UK and the US, has secured planning consent for the development of 2,800 sq m of Grade A sustainable office space in Berlin’s popular Mitte district.

A wholly owned subsidiary of FREO acquired the development site at Seydelstraße 14 in August 2020 in an off-market transaction. FREO has appointed Tchoban Voss Architekten, a leading German architecture studio that specializes in office space, to design an innovative and modern office space, with state-of-the-art technology throughout. Due for completion in late 2023, the development will offer more than 2,800 sq m of space across seven storeys, as well as a roof terrace and is targeting a DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) platinum certification.

Located in the centre of Berlin, Mitte is Berlin’s central borough and is home to a vibrant mix of historical sights, cultural venues, architecture and restaurants, including the Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Television Tower. Occupiers of Seydelstraße 14 will benefit from close proximity to public transport links, including the S-Bahn and subway, as well as a range of popular destinations and local amenities. This includes the Spittelmarkt, the U2 line, the Gendarmenmarkt, the Humboldt Forum Berlin Palace and Museum Island.
